Upcycling, repurposing and altering preexisting items is a direct rebellion against the capitalist imperative of making more more more. Each new item made unnecessarily extracts both earth and human resources.
We are saturated in stuff which causes untold environmental and mental pollution.
Many items we possess live short lives and are relegated to the dump or the opshop.
I choose to renovate hats found in second hand shops to give them a second, more groovy life. I apply patches that call attention to some of the simple and vital foundations of life on this planet. TREES • WATER • SOIL • RAIN are getting their time in the sun.

There are two avenues to gain a groovy hat.
Select a foraged (opshopped) hat from my website or co-create a hat with me. You can select a blank hat from my vast collection or send me one you already have which I can renovate.
Pick out your favorite words from my list or choose your own from your wonderful brain.
To begin this process, email me in the below contact box or ideally, on instagram.
Mycelium is the network of fungal threads that often live underground but also live in rotting organic matter such as tree trunks.
Healthy soil relies on robust fungal networks. They are responsible for breaking down organic matter to make minerals available to plants. They also live in symbiosis with many many plants and form underground communication networks in ecosystems.
Many species also break down and process pesticides, chemicals and even some human made matter - making them a vital ally in our toxin laden world.
Thier fruiting bodies are the sometimes toxic but often delicious, nutritious and fun mushrooms.
They are the original, and ultimate, World Wide Web.
Hat is made from a soft, synthetic material that moulds to the head well. Two hand stitched patches, made from relclaimed leather say MYCELIUM & WORLD WIDE WEB.
